LITTLETON YOUTH WRESTLING WINTER 2023-24 Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment for youngsters in Littleton and the surrounding communities to learn the sport of wrestling. We aim to instill the values of sportsmanship, respect and self-discipline through healthy competition and the camaraderie of sport. Our hope is to foster a positive and memorable experience for the athletes and their families as well as our volunteers and coaches. We accept boys and girls from all backgrounds and help them to develop a lifelong passion for self-improvement.Littleton Youth Wrestling is committed to stopping all forms of bullying to create a safe environment for learning in both sports and school. FOR MORE INFORMATION: https://littletonwrestling.org/ SCHEDULE:This Season will run from December 11th 2023, to March 6th, 2024.Program will not run during Christmas break or February break As always, all neighboring towns are welcome to join us for sport, games, and fun! Location:Shaker Lane Elementary School (accessed via rear entrance).  Time:Practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:30 pm, except when school is closed for any reason (holidays, scheduled vacations and snow emergencies). See schedule on website. Eligibility:Participation is open to boys and girls from K-8. No experience is necessary and non-competition-oriented kids are welcome.  What to bring: Shorts, T-shirt, Wrestling Shoes, Mouthpiece, Headgear (see details) We are a local non-profit organization comprised of volunteers. As always, we are looking for parents (or older athletes in your family) who can assist with coaching and the set up and breakdown of the mats. Our students will go head-to-head in multiple styles of dodgeball for a chance at the March Madness Dodgeball Award.  Each week we will feature a new team or individual dodgeball challenge, and every win will earn points towards each team’s tournament score. Sports Zone 101 Presents: Pokemon Battle Club For Grades K-2Instructor: Nick Face & Sports Zone 101 TeamNick Face is the founder of Active Education. He graduated from Northeastern University in 2012 with a Communication’s degree. He has been a baseball coach for 10+ years in Reading, Ma, is an avid Boston sports fan, and produces and hosts his own sports talk show. He has a passion for teaching and connecting with people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. Nick also owns and operates a health focused food/drink store in Reading and Woburn called Empower. The stores are dedicated in honor of Nick's Mom, Bonny, who tragically passed away in 2020.Program Description: Pokémon Battle Club: Gather up your Poke balls, muster your courage, and prepare your mind for the ultimate test of your Pokémon trainer abilities. Throughout this class, you will go head-tohead with other Pokémon trainers to determine who will become the Gym Master and take home the Grand Prize of 10 Pokémon booster packs. We will cover some basic Pokémon Trading Card Game strategy, but this class is intended for participants who have a basic knowledge of Pokémon the Trading Card Game. Trainers do not need to bring their own battle decks, but it is suggested. In class trading will also be allowed with direct approval of class teachers to ensure fair trade practices. He has a passion for teaching and connecting with people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. Nick also owns and operates a health focused food/drink store in Reading and Woburn called Empower. The stores are dedicated in honor of Nick's Mom, Bonny, who tragically passed away in 2020.Program Description: Pokémon Battle Club: Gather up your Poke balls, muster your courage, and prepare your mind for the ultimate test of your Pokémon trainer abilities. MARCH MADNESS DODGEBALL TOUNREY Come join the Sports Zone 101 coaches as we endeavor on a 6-week tournament journey to crown the Sports Zone 101: Dodgeball Champions for March Madness. Our students will go head-to-head in multiple styles of dodgeball for a chance at the March Madness Dodgeball Award.  Each week we will feature a new team or individual dodgeball challenge, and every win will earn points towards each team’s tournament score. He graduated from Northeastern University in 2012 with a Communication’s degree. He has been a baseball coach for 10+ years in Reading, Ma, is an avid Boston sports fan, and produces and hosts his own sports talk show. He has a passion for teaching and connecting with people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. Nick also owns and operates a health focused food/drink store in Reading and Woburn called Empower. The stores are dedicated in honor of Nick's Mom, Bonny, who tragically passed away in 2020.Program Description: Pokémon Battle Club: Gather up your Poke balls, muster your courage, and prepare your mind for the ultimate test of your Pokémon trainer abilities. Throughout this class, you will go head-tohead with other Pokémon trainers to determine who will become the Gym Master and take home the Grand Prize of 10 Pokémon booster packs. We will cover some basic Pokémon Trading Card Game strategy, but this class is intended for participants who have a basic knowledge of Pokémon the Trading Card Game. Trainers do not need to bring their own battle decks, but it is suggested. In class trading will also be allowed with direct approval of class teachers to ensure fair trade practices.
