SCHEDULE:This Season will run from December 9th 2024, to March 12th, 2025.Program will not run during Christmas break or February break As always, all neighboring towns are welcome to join us for sport, games, and fun! Location:Shaker Lane Elementary School (accessed via rear entrance). Time:Practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm -7:30 pm, except when school is closed for any reason (holidays, scheduled vacations and snow emergencies). See schedule on website.Cost: $180R/ $190NR Eligibility:Participation is open to boys and girls from K-8. No experience is necessary and non-competition-oriented kids are welcome. What to bring: Shorts, T-shirt, Wrestling Shoes, Mouthpiece, Headgear (see details) We are a local non-profit organization comprised of volunteers. As always, we are looking for parents (or older athletes in your family) who can assist with coaching and the set up and breakdown of the mats. All our procedures are in accordance with US Center for SafeSport practices, Massachusetts safe sports, and current Littleton Board of Health policies Practice format:Classes will typically include a warmup session, then a technique review and instruction, followed by practice and drills. Towards the end of each class will run short games intended to be fun. We will try to match youngsters of similar size and experience levels, depending on enrollment. History:Littleton Youth Wrestling, (DBA “Tiger Wrestling”) was founded in 2011 by Coach James Kennedy, a former all American high school and collegiate wrestler who wanted to revive Littleton’s wrestling program. Kennedy recognized from his own experience that wrestling provides a structure and a competitive environment conducive to both academic and professional growth and wanted to create the same opportunities for others.
