Instructor Bio: Megan D. Ford, Au.D. is a licensed audiologist since 1998. She Megan Ford photo has worked at major medical centers in Boston, Cleveland, and Worcester before founding her own practice HearSmart Audiology in 2013. Dr. Ford is experienced in both pediatric and adult audiology with particular interests in hearing aid technology, cochlear implants, and hearing conservation for musicians. She founded Hear My Dreams support group and received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University and her Master of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Basic American Sign Language and Deaf Culture
Program Description:
In this 6-week course, the instructor, Dr. Megan Ford, will review basic communication using American Sign Language (ASL) including fingerspelling, numbers, basic vocabulary, and grammatical structure. There will be a strong emphasis on the cultural context of ASL with a large portion of the class covering Deaf Culture. After completing this course, you will feel comfortable introducing yourself and initiating communication with someone using ASL. The instructor, Dr. Megan Ford, audiologist and owner of HearSmart Audiology in Littleton, will donate her fees to The Decibels Foundation, a local program that helps young children with hearing loss and their families.

Schedule: 6-Weeks on Wednesday's 4/26-5/31 6:30-7:30pm
Age Level: 9 and up
Cost: $30R/$35NR (family of 2-3 people attending together only pay once and keep in mind Megan is donating her fee to Decibels Foundation)
Location: 41 Shattuck St. Littleton in the Parks & Rec HQ
