Instructor: Anne Neary
Instructor Bio:
Anne is a French Littleton mum. She was born and raised in Marseille, in the southeast of France. In 2014, Anne, her husband, and their three children left France and settled in Littleton. Anne and her husband, who is Irish, have been raising their three boys bilingually since they were born. In their home, French, English, and Frenglish are all spoken. Anne believes that the earlier a child is exposed to a foreign language, the easier it is to tame and master it. Also, she feels that understanding a different culture helps one to think and view life differently. On top of raising her boys, Anne gained experience with children through working as a camp counselor in France for several years, and as an au pair in Ireland. She has also volunteered at her sons' schools in France and Littleton, where she would talk about French and Irish culture and use French and English languages through different activities. Anne has a background in International Customer Service. Currently, she serves as a Chairperson of the Littleton SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) and is taking classes in child development, psychology, and neurodiversity. Anne is very excited and thrilled to bring this French conversational program to the students of the Littleton community and surrounding towns. In her spare time, Anne likes photography, knitting, traveling, hiking, paddle boarding, and spending time with her family and friends.
Course Info:
Learn French through play and conversation! We will be talking, reading, singing, doing arts and crafts, playing games, exercising, and playing outside (weather permitting)... Children will be introduced to basic vocabulary for everyday use. We will be learning about the family, the school, pets, foods, numbers, countries etc.....
