AT THIS TIME WE ARE POSTPONING THIS TRIP TO A LATER DATE. ONCE WE HAVE A CONFIRMED DATE WE WILL UPDATE.

Today we take the ferry from Liberty State Park, NJ to Ellis Island, then over to Liberty Island, home to the Statue of Liberty for an unforgettable day.

The Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration is located in the Main Building of the former immigration station complex and tells the moving tales of the 12 million immigrants who entered America through the golden door of Ellis Island. Today, the descendants of those immigrants account for almost half of the American people.  The Ellis Island Audio Tour, included with each ferry ticket, can be picked up at the Antenna Audio desk on Ellis Island. The 45 - minute audio tour invites visitors to relive the immigrant experience as if they were the "new arrival" and is ideal for individuals with limited time. At Liberty Island, enjoy a self -guided audio tour, also included with each ferry ticket, can be picked up at the Antenna Audio booth on Liberty Island. The audio tour helps visitors learn about the Statue of Liberty while exploring the grounds of Liberty Island and runs 30 - 40 minutes. Tours will provide a general history of the island and of the Statue, including important figures in the Statue's construction, the Statue's many symbols and the 1980s centennial restoration project. You will have Pedestal Access today. The top of the pedestal is roughly half the height of the entire monument. The pedestal offers panoramic views of Ellis Island, New York, New Jersey and the New York Harbor. All pedestal tickets include access to the Liberty Island Museum. The Liberty Island Museum chronicles the difficulties and triumphs two Countries - France and the United States-overcame to build a symbol of liberty and includes the original torch display. The museum also covers how the Statue of Liberty's interpretation has changed since its construction in 1886. A pedestal or crown ticket is required to access the Liberty Island Museum.

Crown access is NOT INCLUDED.
