1/2 Day After School Program Russell Street School Winter Session

The Half-Day After School Program provides a quality experience for children in Grades 3-5.   We will meet every half day of each season.  Fall, Winter & Spring for 2019-2020 School year

We will do something every HALF day of the school year (With the exception of the last day of school)

Broken up by Semester- You can sign up for these programs individually or register for the entire session and save 10%!

WINTER SESSION
December 4th, 2019 Wednesday- Right Brain Curriculum- Metrocraft with Minecraft! - $69
Students learn economics, civics, geometry, history and technology as they work together to create a city within a virtual Minecraft world. Minecraft is a limitless platform for students to learn academic skills in a highly engaging virtual environment. In this problem-solving class, students design their own house and business as they learn about budgeting, profit and loss and supply and demand. As they serve on a city council, they study how laws are made and work together to create and vote on a city constitution of laws. Students use mathematics and geometry to construct a working urban environment. STEM skills have never been so fun!

December 5th, 2019 Thursday- Field Trip to Navin Arena for Ice Skating!:  $45
Littleton PRCE Staff will trasnport your child after lunch to Navin Arena to ice skate!  Rentals of ice skates are included in registration price- Or pack your own skates.   We will transport everyone to the Russell Street School for pickup at 4pm. 

December 11th, 2019 Wednesday - Field Trip to FunWorld in Nashua, NH!:  $45
Littleton PRCE Staff will transport your child after lunch to FunWorld for Arcade Games, 1 amusement park ride and unlimited play in their 3 story indoor playground!  We will transport everyone to the Russell Street School for pickup at 4pm. 

December 12th, 2019 Thursday- Field Trip to One Stop Fun in Westford!:  $45
Littleton PRCE Staff will transport your child after lunch to One Stop Fun for unlimited play in their indoor play facility and gymnastics area!  We will transport everyone to the Russell Street School for pickup at 4pm.

January 8th- Play-Well Technologies Lego Workshop: Boats, Snowmobiles and Catapults: $46
Master your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as: Catapults, Bridges, and Battletracks! Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas.

January 29th- Mad Science: Ship Wrecks: $42
This program puts children on a “deserted island” on which they must work together to devise a means for collecting food and water, build shelters, bridges, and learn about the science behind survival fun! They use the tools at hand to write messages to send in a bottle and witness a volcanic eruption. The children eventually design a means to escape the island and come home.  

February 12th- Empow Studios: Video Game Design: $75
Go from gamer to designer. Kids love playing video games, but they have even more fun playing games designed by them and their friends! One of Empow Studios’ most popular classes, Video Game Design encompasses storytelling, pixel art, and object-oriented programming, all through a user-friendly, 2D game design platform. Our non-violence policy keeps the games cringe-free and shareable once the kids bring their games home for you to play!

Pick up time is 4:00pm from the Russell Street School
